Trinity Theatre

Godspell is one of the most ubiquitous properties in theatre history and was conceived and originally directed by John Michael Tebelak, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. One of the biggest Broadway successes of all time, it is based on St. Matthew’s Gospel featuring a sparkling score which boasts a string of hits led by "Day By Day." The story is told in the way the players interact with their leader. They come together in emotive moments, fun and laughter as the cast retell the well-known parables through lively songs and dances. The greatest tribute to the popularity of the show is that its religious subject matter has made it a success in every conceivable venue, including, now, Trinity Theatre.

Godspell on Tour

Following the successful production at Trinity Theatre the show is now going on tour!

Excerpts can be seen as part of the Jubilee Concert at Cowes Yacht Haven on 1st June.

The full show can be seen at St Marys Church, Cowes on Friday 29th June and at Ryde Methodist Church on Saturday 7th July as part of Ryde Arts Festival.

Trinity Theatre are putting on  the popular, moving and funny play Calendar Girls by Tim Firth. The run starts with a gala fund-raising performance in aid of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research on Saturday 1st September and continues with performances  on 6th, 7th, 8th, 13th, 14th, 15th.
